Karen M. Kenny-Brunk, 63
Karen M. Kenny-Brunk of Dalton Gardens, born Sept. 14, 1947, in Spokane, Wash., joined her heavenly father on Sept. 15, 2010, after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was an adventurous spirit with a smile for everyone, she loved to travel with her husband of four years, loved visiting with her grandchildren, loved to work in her flower garden, and rest with her pups. Karen's favorite holiday was Christmas; she could listen to Christmas music all year long. She will be remembered by many, for her 28 years of service and fellowship with friends of Bill W.
Karen has worked in the Kootenai County Assessors office, as an airline reservationist in California and Washington, and was a Realtor for several years. She was active in her community as well as her church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Bell; father Glen K. Elliott and son Marshall Dean Davis.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Brunk; daughters Darcie Miche of Hayden and Colleen Emmick of Coeur d'Alene; sons-in-law Mike Miche and Mike Emmick; siblings Glen Elliott, Doug Waynes, Darcie Okamura and Glenda Cain; grandsons Jon Brewer active duty Army, Nathon Brewer active duty Navy and Dakota Lanore; and great-grandsons Aden Brewer and Kaleb Brewer; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Dalton Gardens LDS Church, 2223 E. Hanley Ave, Dalton Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Hospice of North Idaho.
