Shock re-sign Narcisse, Rowan, Orton, Kauleinamoku, Teems
SPOKANE - Defensive back Alex Teems, wide receivers Greg Orton and Shaun Kauleinamoku, offensive lineman Antonio Narcisse and kicker Taylor Rowan have re-signed with the Spokane Shock for the 2011 Arena Football League season.
Teems recorded 74 tackles in 2010 and became the franchise's all-time career leader in tackles (172), a record formerly held by now-coach Rob Keefe. Teems also had three interceptions and 20 pass break-ups.
Orton earned a spot on the roster after he was initially cut during training camp. During the regular season, Orton appeared in three games and recorded 16 receptions for 187 yards with two touchdowns. In the postseason, Orton started all three playoff games and tied teammate Huey Whittaker for the league lead in receptions (25) for 200 yards with two touchdowns.
As a rookie in the AFL, Kauleinamoku had 30 receptions for 441 yards and 10 touchdowns in only nine games.
Last season, his third in the AFL, Narcisse started 10 games for the Shock and anchored Spokane's offensive line at the center position.
Rowan converted 90 percent of his point after attempts and all seven of his field goal attempts during the regular season.
