Even in mid-September, Lake Coeur d'Alene's waters aren't too chilly for every swimmer. On Wednesday at 8 a.m., Susan Oberlink captured this photo of an elk swimming across the lake from Turner Bay and landing at Delcardo Bay. Although not pictured, the elk's mate joined in the swim.
