Kootenai Electric Cooperative had two separate power outages Thursday.
According to a KEC press release, the first occurred at 8:45 a.m. in the Rathdrum/Garwood area and affected about 575 members. The outage was caused by a tree that fell on lines and power was restored to members by 9:45 a.m.
The second outage occurred at 1:15 p.m. south of Coeur d'Alene near Rockford Bay.
About 1,100 members were affected by the 15 minute outage.
"The outage happened when our crews were repairing facilities which were damaged during an outage on Sept. 15," the release said.
The Sept. 15 outage lasted about two hours and was caused by a bird.
