DOG BITE: Owner ignored laws, signs
This is to the people who chose to blame my granddaughter for the dog attack.
The little girl in the paper is my granddaughter and the fault of the dog attack is 100 percent the owners'.
My granddaughter likes to pet dogs. She thinks all dogs are nice. She reached her hand out to pet the dog. She tripped and fell and the dog attacked.
Fact 1: The dog was in a park clearly marked, "No dogs allowed."
Fact 2: The dog was tied to a garbage can so the owner could enjoy a birthday party.
Fact 3: The dog had no shots (rabies).
Fact 4: The dog had no tags.
Now what part of this is her fault? If the owner would have obeyed the signs the dog wouldn't have been there. If the owner would have had hold of the leash and paying attention this would have been prevented. If the dog would have been current on his shots the dog wouldn't be in quarantine for 10 days. That owner broke every law/rule concerning dogs. That is a very irresponsible dog owner.
Now we have to play the waiting game.
1. To see if the dog has rabies.
2. To see how scarred she will be once her face is healed.
3. To see if she will have vision/eye problems in the future.
I am glad my 3-year-old granddaughter is too young to read and go online. I would not like her to be able to read how some people can be so mean to a little girl. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You know who you are. I hope you can live with yourselves.
