Weather will be tricky Sunday
Trick-or-treaters might find out if Baby Ruth can swim.
Or fly.
Halloween is going to be riddled with wind and scattered showers this year, according to Coeur d'Alene climatologist Cliff Harris.
"It's a typical Halloween, with cold and showers, but not as cold as others we've seen," Harris said. "I don't see any snow, so that's one good thing."
Temperatures on Halloween day will hover around the low-50s, he said, and in the evening dip into the low- to mid-40s. The night will also be raked with intermittent winds.
Not enough to ruin the night for candy hunters, Harris said.
"Nothing extreme," he said. "The total amount of precipitation for Halloween should be a quarter inch or less, so it's not going to be torrential downpours from what I can see."
Families might exercise some caution in regard to wind, though.
"Sometimes that wind can cut through you, especially depending on what the costume is," Harris said. "If you're dressing like Lady Gaga, you may want to wear a jacket."
