TRUSTEE: Wood, Howard best two

This letter is written as an endorsement of two candidates running for the trustee positions at North Idaho College. Christie Wood and Ken Howard are my candidates of choice.

Current Board Chairwoman Christie Wood is dedicated to community service. She has extensive experience as a board member including eight years of service on the Coeur d'Alene School Board. She understands and supports quality instruction, affordability for students, proper utilization of taxpayer funds ad accessibility of our programs for all.

Ken Howard has been a part of the North Idaho area for 32 years and has also served our communities robustly. Most notably, he assisted in the civil trial that defended human rights and bankrupted the Aryan Nations. Ken will focus on the needs of students while being considerate of taxpayers.

I am certain Christie and Ken are the best choices for continuing academic excellence and guiding the direction of NIC to best serve our communities.

In this election it is important to vote for candidates who do not have a skewed agenda or an ax to grind with NIC. I hope you will join me in voting for Christie Wood and Ken Howard on Nov. 2.
