KETCHUM: Best for next steps

| October 29, 2010 10:00 PM

The development of NIC as a local education institute for our sons and daughters is important to me. As a local school board member of the past 21 years I would be remiss without sharing my thoughts about the candidates for NIC trustee position B. I have known both candidates for an extended length of time. Dr. Robert Ketchum was a fellow member of the CDA Leadership class of 1991 and Ms. Christie Wood was a fellow trustee.

By all observations I found that each genuinely cared for the students and purposes that they advocated for. Through years of "in the trenches" experience, specialized training and as the director of NIC's Workforce Training program Dr. Ketchum has honed his ability to plan, implement and assess programs.

As you go to the polls please reflect on the growth of the newly voter approved KTEC campus and who will best serve our kids through that new technical branch of education. My vote is for Dr. Ketchum.
