HOWARD: Balance assured at NIC

| October 29, 2010 10:00 PM

I am writing in support of Ken Howard and his candidacy to become a Trustee of North Idaho College in the upcoming election.

I have known Ken since the 1970s when we were both trying to establish our law practices here in Kootenai County.

I was impressed then as I am now as to his keen intellect and his capacity to make clear practical decisions on behalf of his clients. His concern for the community and its well being were also in evidence in a variety of ways.

As a former North Idaho College Trustee (1990-96) I can recall a number of serious issues. Among those was our desire to advance the interests of the vocational-technical side of the college while at the same time maintain the vigorous academic side to the college. We were able to do that on a very aggressive scale. I have spoken to Ken about this continuing desire to keep this balance at the college. He has assured me that he would work diligently to this end.

Ken Howard will make an excellent member of the Board of Trustees at North Idaho College.
