Clare Marlin, 71
Clare Irene Carver Marlin, 71, surrounded by family at her home in Coeur d'Alene, joined her husband, Curtis Leon Marlin, on Oct. 26, 2010, who preceded her in death in 1983. Clare was born on Aug. 16, 1939, in Montague, Texas.
She moved to California where she met and married Curt. They moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1972 where they owned and operated Marlin & Sons Excavating for a number of years. In addition to keeping the company books she also served as the secretary for the Excavators Association.
A beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, she was also preceded in death by her brother, J.L. Carver; a sister, Ann Payne; and three grandchildren, Nicole, Austin and Kortney Marlin.
She is survived by her brother, Dee Carver of Forestville, Calif.; sons, Tom Marlin and wife Terri of Cheney, Wash., Jim Marlin of Hayden, Curtis Marlin II and wife Shelley of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter Angelique Colvin and husband Troy of Post Falls; grandchildren, Chad Marlin of Phoenix, Ariz., John Curtis Marlin of Hayden, Jacob Finney Marlin, Ryan and Nicole Radmer Marlin, and Curtis Marlin III of Wasilla, Alaska, Tyger Rose Marlin of Cheney, Conner Weeks, Alex, Samantha and Zachery Guthas of Spokane, Wash., and Shyanne and Justin Colvin of Post Falls; great-grandchildren, Viktor Marlin of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. Her smile will always be missed and her love always felt.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. The urn committal will follow at Forest Cemetery.
