Business After Hours set for tonight

The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce will hold its Business After Hours at Kiemle & Hagood Company, Regence, Black Law Office, Executive Lending and Academy Mortgage, 2065 W. Riverstone Drive from 5-6:30 tonight.

This event includes a chance to win prizes, with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments being served.

Business After Hours is a networking event and an opportunity for members to show off their offices or facilities.

There will be food and beverages.

J-U-B named to CE News list

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. was recently named to CE News' annual "Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For" list. J-U-B was ranked 22nd overall nationwide and fourth in large-sized firms (over 300 employees). This list distinguishes the top 35 firms that offer benefits, services, and programs that are competitive within the industry.

Nipp named to INCF board

Charlie Nipp is a new board member on the Inland Northwest Community Foundation.

The Coeur d'Alene man also serves on the board of the Lake City Development Corp.

NW Bancorp reports

financial results

Northwest Bancorporation, Inc., the bank holding company for Inland Northwest Bank, on Wednesday reported financial results for the quarter and nine months ending Sept. 30.

Net income for the third quarter of 2010 was $528,000, compared to a loss of $631,000 reported for the third quarter of 2009. The net income available for common shareholders was $358,000 compared to a loss of $804,000 for the same quarter last year.

"We are extremely pleased to report our third consecutive quarter of profitability. I believe that three quarters signifies the beginning of a trend, and the trend looks positive," said Randall L. Fewel, president & CEO of both the Company and the Bank. "We recognize the economy of the Inland Northwest is still hurting and unemployment remains too high, but we are starting to see some modest signs of a nascent economic recovery."

Earnings loss per diluted share available for common shareholders for the third quarters of 2010 and 2009 were 12 cents and 34 cents, respectively.

For the nine months ending Sept. 30, the company reported net income of $1.38 million, compared to a loss of $1.73 million for the first nine months of 2009.
