Father, daughter reported missing
The Post Falls Police Department is looking for two individuals who were reported missing on Wednesday.
It was reported that Matthew Gering, 37, and his daughter, Kia Gering, 14, failed to return from a planned hunting trip.
The two last had contact with Matthew's girlfriend at about 3 a.m. on Monday. It was reported that they called and advised that they were departing Lewiston en route to the St. Joe area, Unit 6, which borders Shoshone and Benewah counties.
The were supposed to return late Monday evening.
The vehicle that they are reported to be travelling in is a tan 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 with an Idaho license plate of K458325.
The Shoshone County Sheriff's Department and Fairchild Air Force Base have deployed search teams and a command post has been set up in the area of 10th and Railroad in St. Maries.
Matthew is described as 6-foot and 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and with a full beard. Kia is described as 5-foot-4, 200 pounds with auburn-colored hair and brown eyes.
