TRUSTEE: Nilson, Ketchum leaders

| October 27, 2010 10:00 PM

With election day just around the corner, we as voters have a special opportunity to make a badly needed change at NIC. There are two trustee seats up for filling. There are two candidates that stand out as "the right choice" to serve the public and students as NIC Trustees. They are Dr. Robert Ketchum, Outstanding Educator, and Ron Nilson, Outstanding Manufacturer.

They come from different professional careers, but have a common goal, to serve together, and make a difference for the future. They bring life experiences in the ups and downs of their professions, how to meet challenges, and succeed. I have been humbled and privileged to know and work with them on many issues over the years. They both have excelled in their individual professions, Dr. Ketchum, a proven leader in education, making the NIC Workforce Training Center in Post Falls what it is today, and Ron Nilson, another proven leader, creating a successful international manufacturing business also in Post Falls.

They both know the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, and have survived. Ron Nilson knows how hard it is to get trained qualified employees, and Dr. Ketchum knows how important it is to educate and train the workforce. They worked together for the successful passage and creation of KTEC. Together they bring excitement and hope for the future for NIC and the Region. Please join my wife and me in proudly voting for Dr. Robert Ketchum and Ron Nilson, NIC Trustees.
