The power that made the body will heal the body
From the time that we are born until the time we die, the body is in constant motion, even when at rest.
The cells of our body are constantly dying and being replaced by new, healthy cells. Two and one-half million of them will die and be replaced every minute of your life. This is a normal process. We don't tell our body to do this job, it just innately knows to do this. Health can be defined as the ability of the body to replace the cells and tissue structures normally and consistently. In order for this process to occur, life force (mental impulse) must be flowing throughout the body to all organs, cells and tissues. If the life force is interfered with, the body does not have the ability to recreate it. This is where disease and injuries and illnesses occur.
So how can a chiropractor help the body to heal itself or help the body to maintain good health? A chiropractor works on primarily one thing - the vertebral subluxation. A subluxation is a vertebrae that is out of alignment with the vertebrae above and below resulting in nerve pressure and interference of the nerve impulse from the brain to the organs, tissues and cells of the body. A chiropractor's job is to remove the subluxation allowing the nerve impulse to get to all organs, tissue and cells of the body. This allows the body to function and heal!
So... when asked if we chiropractors can cure diseases such as asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease and ear infections to name a few, the answer is not yes. We don't cure disease but instead remove subluxations with adjustments of the spine thus allowing the body to heal itself. Many people do, in fact, rid themselves of the diseases or illnesses that brought them to seek treatment in the first place. If there are bones out of alignment and causing interference for the nerves, the body can't heal itself. This is why the first step to healing the disease process must be to remove subluxations and make sure the body is functioning at its optimal potential before medications or surgeries are sought. Why not get to the root of the problem and allow this one and only body we are given to function as it was intended?
Chiropractors do not give medicine to cure the sick. We know that nature provides each person with a built-in "druggist" capable of making hormones, enzymes, etc. Just as your body heals cuts, mends broken bones and repairs damaged organs, so can it heal disease without harmful side effects. The human body is capable of healing itself of disease, provided nothing interferes with normal function.
Have your spine checked to see if you have vertebral subluxations causing you to live a life that is not as healthy as it could be.
