Suzanne Podrabsky, 46
Suzanne Podrabsky, 46, of Coeur d'Alene, died Oct. 24, 2010, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Born Suzanne Petteruti on Oct. 15, 1964, in Glendale, Calif., she lived there for 10 years before moving to North Idaho. She attended various schools in the area and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1982. She then attended North Idaho College for two years before moving to Corvallis, Ore., in 1984. She began working for a bank which she enjoyed, and met her husband that year on a blind date. Suzanne married Dean Podrabsky on May 5, 1988, and they lived in Corvallis until March 1992 and then decided to move back to Coeur d'Alene to be close to her family.
Suzanne worked for the Coeur d'Alene Public Library for 18 years and loved the people and staff. She loved to help patrons with any need or question. Suzanne was the sweetest and most giving person you could ever meet. Everyone who knew her loved her. She never thought of herself first. She loved to cook, travel the Oregon Coast, and she loved her cats and all animals.
She is survived by her husband, Dean; her cats, Pumpkin and Bela; her mother, Judy Dean and stepfather Spencer Dean; uncles, Matt Stewart and Chris Stewart; aunt Katy Hipke; and cousins, Katy Rose, Dylan, Cienna, Carlos, John, J. Morgan and Zach.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. A reception will follow at the Yates Hayden Chapel's Gathering Center.
