| October 26, 2010 4:21 PM

Elizabeth "June" Earnest went to be with the Lord on Oct. 12, 2010. June was born on June 4, 1932, in Clyde, Texas.

June's family lived in Clyde until 1940 at which time they moved to Abilene, Texas. Following high school, June met the love of her life, John A. Earnest Jr. John and June were married on Sept. 20, 1950. She was a constant companion and source of support for John through their almost 60 years together.

Shortly after marriage, John joined the U.S. Air Force and for nearly 23 years he and June traveled all over the world and raised five children. They lived in Japan for three years and in various parts of South Carolina, Texas and New Mexico. After John retired from the Air Force, they lived in View, Texas, for a number of years before moving to Post Falls in 1982.

John and June joined the Mountain View Bible Church when arriving in 1982 and became close friends with the folks who attended there. June also easily made numerous life friendships with people she met while working for the Post Falls School District in various school cafeterias and as a food demonstrator for My Girl Friday in local grocery stores.

Known as Granny June to adults and children alike, she welcomed all with open arms. She was a lovely, fun-loving and outgoing person who always had a smile on her face and a huge hug for family and friends. She enjoyed weekly meetings with her friends over coffee at a local restaurant, road trips, boating, camping, fishing, cooking for family and friends, and afternoon naps on the couch with her dog, Lucy.

June is survived by her sister, Golda Lindsey; children - John Earnest III of Post Falls, Robert Earnest of San Angelo, Texas, Nora Wink of Abilene, David Earnest of The Colony, Texas, Kevin Earnest of Post Falls; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

June's memorial will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Mountain View Bible Church, 3974 N. Chase Road, Post Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to Mountain View Bible Church.
