Virginia Emma Arnesen

| October 25, 2010 4:04 PM

April 30, 1925 to Oct. 10, 2010

Born in San Jose, Calif., to Linnie Pearl and Walter August Heiser. She lived her childhood in San Jose, then married Ralph Boyer when she was 17 years old. She was married to Ralph for 20 years. She then moved to Ben Lomond in the Santa Cruz mountains where she married Edward Arnesen, they owned and ran the Arnesen Apartments in Ben Lomond. They retired to Palm Springs, Calif., where they enjoyed "fun in the sun" for 16 years. Ed and Virginia were married for 44 years. They moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2007 to be closer to family. Ed passed away in 2008.

Virginia was known for her leopard print accessories and her red lipstick. The caregivers at Creekside and BeeHive will remember her for her "lipstick kisses" on the back of their hand. She wanted to leave her "mark of Virginia" so she wouldn't be forgotten... and she never will be. Her beautiful smile will be with us forever.

Although mom was always up for a good party, the family has decided to honor both parents at a family reunion at a later date.

Her family meant everything to her. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Fulton (Jim) of Coeur d'Alene and Holly Arnesen-Sileo (Brett Sileo) of Lafayette, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jill Downer (Jon) of Henderson, Nev., Ami Hoffman (Daren) of Coeur d'Alene, Genavieve and Nicolas Sileo of Lafayette.; six great-grandchildren, Chelsea, JD, Lauren, AJ, Emma and Tyson.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Melchiore, Hospice of North Idaho and the staff at BeeHive Homes. Donations can be made to Hospice of North Idaho in Virginia's name.

No services will be held. Please visit Virginia's online memorial and sign her guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
