HUNTING: Spare graphic images

I have yet to write a letter to the editor at The Press but I read most of them every morning. However, I am writing this morning to show support for Ms. von Hagan's position concerning the photographs of "hunters with their trophies" in the Outdoor Section of The Press last week.

I too come from a family which contains several avid hunters and I would never make an attempt to sway them away from doing their thing. However the longer I am here on Earth, the more I know I am not superior to all the other of God's creatures; I am an equal part of it all. I could never shoot at one of his magnificent works standing there unable to defend his or herself.

I too wish you would honor our position by not printing these pictures where everyone has to view them. It is painful and not necessary!
