CRAMERS: Standing up for homeowners

Kudos to the Cramers. As members in the Carlin Bay Property Owners Assoc. we hope their recent action removes existing cronyism, vague accounting, secret meetings and other unfair management.

The current board members, under the direction of the acting president Mr. Noel (no record he was ever elected) seem to have forgotten their obligation to serve all members equally. Historic sweetheart deals made with a wink and a handshake have created quite a financial imbalance. Token dues and assessment payments made by a few select members forces the remaining members to pick up the slack.

Because financial records were always vague or unavailable this discrepancy was never available to the average member. Mr. and Mrs. Cramer's action will hopefully correct this. Historically any requests for financial disclosure were answered with promises, delays, excuses, etc., but never delivered. Many times, member complaints or requests received the standard response "If you don't like it here, why don't you just move." Unfortunately, easier said than done these days.

So, our hats off to the Cramers for tenacity, perseverance and for trying to make this HOA fair and equal for ALL members.
