WORLEY - Two people were transported to Kootenai Medical Center on Thursday night after a crash near the Coeur d'Alene Casino that reduced U.S. 95 to one lane of travel northbound for about three hours.
According to Idaho State Police, Bernadine C. Twoteeth, 33, of Plummer was northbound driving a 2007 Chrysler Sebring at about 7 p.m. when Lowell Compton, 75, Weippe, made a U-turn in a 1995 Saturn SL in front of Twoteeth.
The Chrysler struck the Saturn, police said.
Twoteeth and passenger Deannette T. Dominique-White, 12, were not wearing seat belts and were treated and released at KMC.
Compton, who was not injured and was wearing a seat belt, was cited for inattentive driving. A 6-year-old passenger in the Saturn was not injured.
