THANKS: Boys come to rescue
We would like to express our appreciation for the help of two young men on Sept. 29 on the Mineral Ridge Scenic Trail in Coeur d'Alene. We were hiking on the trail and met three young people at the top and visited with them for a few minutes. They went ahead of us on the trail and when it was getting dark and we were not in the parking lot, Everett Cole (an Eagle Scout) and Myles Weaver came back up the trail to check on how we were doing.
Thank goodness they did, because my husband, Jim, had fallen and injured his ankle. Everett Cole and Myles Weaver physically picked my husband up so he could walk down the trail supported by Myles Weaver while Everett Cole guided me on the trail to the parking lot and our car. Both Everett and Myles called later to check up to see how we were doing. Jim later had X-rays taken and found out an ankle bone was fractured.
Everett Cole's and Myles Weaver's concern for their fellow citizen will always be remembered and appreciated and should be recognized.
Thank you, thank you!
