| October 21, 2010 9:00 PM

POST FALLS - A forum featuring four candidates for North Idaho College's board of trustees will be held on Monday at Post Falls City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St., from 6-7:30 p.m.

Two NIC board seats are up for election in the Nov. 2 general election.

Robert Ketchum, former longtime director of NIC's Workforce Training Center in Post Falls, is challenging Christie Wood, a six-year NIC board member and Coeur d'Alene Police sergeant, for Seat B.

Coeur d'Alene attorney Ken Howard and Post Falls business owner Ron Nilson are competing for Seat A, which is being vacated by retiring trustee Rolly Williams.

The forum is sponsored by Kootenai County Young Professionals and the public is invited.

The community is invited to e-mail questions for the trustees to mpatrick@cdapress.com by Friday at 3 p.m.

The forum will be broadcast live on Post Falls city cable channel 13.

It will be rebroadcast on that channel on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m.

It will also be available on Post Falls' website, via video on demand, at http://postfalls.pegcentral.com/

Moderator will be Luke Malek, a local student working as a legal intern at the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. He is a founding member of KCYP.

Questions will be posed to the candidates by a panel of reporters and members of the North Idaho College community.
