NIC gearing up for Westboro visit

Due to the expected visit from members of the Westboro Baptist Church

this Friday, areas of the North Idaho College campus will be impacted

to allow for law enforcement to be present.

Garden Avenue: Both sides of Garden Avenue will be closed to parking

from the Sherman Building parking lot west to the College Drive

intersection. Law enforcement will be placing No Parking signs in the

area starting at 6 p.m. today.

Children’s Center: The college is rerouting incoming Children’s Center

traffic Friday morning from 7 to 10 a.m. and creating a temporary

drop-off area behind the Meyer Health and Sciences Building. There

will be signs placed in the area to direct people to the new drop-off

location. Parents will be allowed to leave their cars long enough to

drop off their children.
