ENGLISH: He's a proven leader

| October 20, 2010 5:24 AM

I have had the privilege of knowing DAN ENGLISH since 1976 when he was director of Youth for Christ. In 1985 he founded Anchor House, a home for troubled boys which continues to be located on Government Way in Coeur d'Alene. Dan has served on the Coeur d'Alene School Board, City Council and many other community organizations. He is a dedicated public servant.

Dan has developed great leadership skills through his criminal justice B.A. degree from San Jose and a M.A. in counseling from Gongaza.

Dan has demonstrated efficiency, responsibility, excellent communication skills, ability to work with volunteers and nearly 100 Kootenai County employees he supervises. He is an innovator and creative leader who doesn't just maintain a program, but makes it efficient and assessable.

For 15 years, he has worked effectively as our County Clerk. With his integrity, honesty, ability to work on a bi-partisan basis, Dan has been able to gain respect and cooperation from both republicans and democrats. Professionally, Dan represents Kootenai County on our Idaho State Task Force for elections and is the immediate past chair person for the National Standards Board for U.S. Election assistance. His leadership has been recognized by voters and professionally by his peers.

We need to re-elect Dan English, a proven trusted leader, with great vision and integrity.
