William A. 'Bill' Zent Sr., 81

William A. "Bill" Zent Sr., 81, of Post Falls, passed away Oct. 16, 2010, at Beehive Homes. He was born July 26, 1929, to Elizabeth Hoffman and Clifford Zent in Wallace.

William was a lifetime resident of North Idaho. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Marion L. Case on Aug. 9, 1953, in Wallace. She preceded him in death in 2009. He worked as a saw filer for Louisiana Pacific.

He was a member of Faith Ministries, VFW and the National Rifle Association. William enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and he loved the outdoors.

William is survived by his sons, William A. Zent Jr. and Ronald Zent, both of Coeur d'Alene; daughters, Jane and (Mike) Walker of Worley, and Jody Beebe of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren Brandon, Megan, Joshua, Nicholas, Patrick, Steven, Luther and Talitha; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Andre Walker and a brother, Cliff.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
