Robert 'Bob' Parks, 53

| October 19, 2010 1:22 PM

Robert "Bob" Parks, 53, went to heaven Oct. 15, 2010. He was an amazing man to all who knew him. He was born Sept. 28, 1957, to Robert D. and Ida Parks, and raised in Coeur d'Alene.

He graduated from Coeur d'Alene High school in 1975, where he met the love of his life, Marianne. They married on Aug. 14, 1976, and raised three children in Coeur d'Alene.

His first love was his family and his second, the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, golfing, gardening and just spending time in the woods. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was also a craftsman and built his family home. He loved to talk your ear off about all of his great adventures (spent mostly with close friends and family). He took great pride in his kids and grandkids and loved giving them all silly nicknames.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Marianne; mother Ida Parks; daughter Erin Parks; son Robert Parks; daughter and son-in-law Katie and Pete Martinson; grandkids Tyler and Ethan, Mattie and Jake Martinson; sister and brother-in-law Karen and Doug Gonser; sister and brother-in-law Lori and Doug Evenson; sister Val Gittel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Marlene Watts and Brian and Christy Watts and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

We want to say goodbye for now to our "Lovey," our "Pops," our "Papa," our beloved son and brother. We love you forever with all of our hearts.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Lake City Community Church at 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene.
