Frances Donovan, 96
Frances Marie Donovan passed away at Kootenai Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010. She was 96 years old.
At the time of her death she lived with her daughter, Yvonne Domanski and husband, in Dalton Gardens, where she was frequently visited by friends, family and neighbors.
Frances was born in La Port, Ind., on Oct. 10, 1913, to Mary C. Copeland, and Ray G. Warren. She moved to California in the mid-1930s and gained employment at McDonald-Douglas Aircraft, where she met and married her second husband, James "Fred" Donovan.
Following their retirement they traveled extensively throughout the country. Their home base was West Los Angeles until they relocated to Leisure Village in Camarillo, Calif. After Fred's death in 1999, Frances continued to live independently until reoccurring health problems resulted in her joining her daughter, Charlyne Moss, and her family.
She was later to relocate to Dalton Gardens until the end of her life.
Frances was a long-standing member of the Easter Star.
During her stay in Idaho she enjoyed spending time with her friends at Kootenai Medical Center's Adult Day Care, where she enjoyed playing Bingo and other games.
Frances is survived by daughters, Yvonne Domanski and husband, Gary, Charlyne Moss and husband Jim, step-children, Kathi Horten and husband, Brant, and Michael Donovan. She had 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial/Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Lake City Senior Center.
