Bill Carpenter

Bill Carpenter, of Coeur d'Alene, formally of Irvine, Calif., passed away Oct. 13, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; daughter Robyn; daughter Brooke and her husband Eric; and his grandchildren, Alex, Allison and Chris.

Bill was a dedicated family man, and will be remembered for his love of his family, grandchildren and friends. Bill was a veteran of the Air Force and spent his career in Telecommunications Engineering.

He enjoyed spending his free time in the outdoors, camping, hiking, geo-caching and fly-fishing the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River.

Bill dedicated his off time to participating in many sports, including biking, running and soccer. He not only loved to watch soccer, but also coached his daughters and refereed.

Per Bill's wishes there will be no memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
