NIC men to hold

hoop scrimmage Thursday

The North Idaho College men’s basketball team will hold an inter-squad scrimmage on Thursday starting at 7:15 p.m. at Christianson Gym.

The event is free and open to the public.

Strahinic named SWAC

volleyball player of the week

North Idaho College sophomore Tina Strahinic has been selected the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her play in matches against Snow College and Salt Lake Community College last week.

Strahinic, a 6-1 outside hitter from Metlika, Slovenia, led the Cardinals to a 2-0 record with straight set defeats of Salt Lake and Snow College at home. She had 17 kills against Snow on Thursday and 14 kills against Salt Lake on Saturday.

NIC (19-5, 5-0 SWAC) hosts the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday at 3 p.m.
