Nick Theissen, 60

Nick passed away on Oct. 10, 2010, surrounded by his family whom he dearly loved. He was born April 20, 1950, to John and Donna Theissen in Lewiston.

Nick is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Coeur d'Alene; son Nicholas of Spokane, Wash.; mother Donna Theissen of Columbia Falls, Mont.; brother and wife, Dennis and Ginger Theissen of Whitefish, Mont.; and his niece and family, Bob and Katie Bell, Brittan, Shanna and Lilee of Moscow. Stepchildren include Aaron and Holly Carmichael of Los Gatos, Calif., Colin, Kat, Grant and William Carmichael of Louisville, Ky., and Chad, Amber, Peter and Gracie Carmichael of Indianapolis, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Theissen of Clarkston, Wash.; grandparents, Lester and Lily Wallace of Kendrick, and William and Gertrude Theissen of Genesee.

Nick worked in the Building Materials Industry his entire career and was the General Manager of Coeur d'Alene Builders Supply for several years. He was a man of integrity, was a master gardener and a gourmet chef. Nick's sense of humor was a joy to all who knew him. He loved his Labrador retriever, Jake.

Nick was raised in Clarkston and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1968. He enjoyed his trips to Hawaii where he found so much peace. His Montana Cabin was his pride and joy where he enjoyed fishing and sharing time with his family. Nick will be missed by everyone who knew him.

All are invited to attend Nick's graveside service which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston.

Contributions can be made to Hospice of North Idaho in honor of Nick's life.
