LABRADOR: Record speaks for itself, alas

| October 13, 2010 10:00 PM

Will the election of Raul Labrador to Congress in Idaho's First District race be a rubber stamp for Obama's plans to amnesty millions of illegal aliens? Will Labrador represent illegal aliens, as he does in his immigration law practice, or will he serve Idaho citizens?

Labrador's history on illegal immigration issues is terrible.

Labrador wants illegal aliens to exit the country, bounce back in and go to the head of the line to get American citizenship. This "touchback" amnesty scam is very popular among cynical, pro-amnesty politicians. Labrador has also stated he supports the right to automatic citizenship for children born in America to illegal immigrants. His globalist bosses in the Idaho Dairymen's Association want the free migration of cheap labor across America's sovereign borders.

Labrador, in a 2007 discussion before the City Club of Boise, stated his support of the Dream Act which was re-introduced in the 2010 Congress. This backdoor amnesty awards taxpayer subsidized instate tuition at the nation's state colleges and universities to illegal aliens with citizenship to follow after only two years of attendance. This legislation would amnesty more than two million illegal aliens plus future millions of family members through chain migration.

Sold as a bill of "compassionate goods" for illegal immigrant children brought into the country under the age of 16, it is actually an affront to American taxpayers and students. Legal residents have hardships paying for tuition and are never permitted to attend out of state schools for instate tuition payments. Illegals will also be eligible for student loans and federal work-study grants. The Dream Act is riddled with loopholes and open to document fraud and other abuses. One section of the bill extends instate tuition to illegal aliens up to the age of 35! There is no cap on the number of illegal aliens permitted amnesty and no end date. The legislation is a huge magnet for further illegal immigration.

Amnesty for illegal aliens, one of the greatest threats to American sovereignty, is undeniably supported by Labrador. Finding election year "religion" does not change the facts of Labrador's radical positions.
