Highway 95 now open

COEUR d’ALENE — U.S.

Highway 95 was closed in both directions at the Spokane River

Bridge after a vehicle struck a natural gas line near Blackwell

Island.

The Idaho State

Police report that the crash occurred near Fairmont Loop Road

Wednesday evening, around 9 p.m. Crews from Avista Utilities are on

scene to repair the damage.

The highway reopened

at 10:27. Police were on the scene investigating and will release

more information when it becomes available.
