Post Falls man injured during motorcycle crash

POST FALLS - A 46-year-old Post Falls man was injured during a motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 in Post Falls on Tuesday.

According to Idaho State Police, Craig A. Grimmer, who was treated and released at Kootenai Medical Center, was eastbound on a 2007 Triumph about 8:10 a.m. when the vehicle in front of him swerved to miss a ladder in the road.

Grimmer, who was wearing a helmet, was unable to avoid the ladder and rolled into the median. His motorcycle came to rest 150 feet away from him.

The road was reduced to one lane for about 40 minutes.

Anyone who saw the vehicle that lost the ladder or saw where it came from is asked to call the state police at 209-8620.

American Legion fall meeting planned in Kellogg

KELLOGG - Gus Zoellner Post 36 will host the fall meeting of the First District American Legion Posts on Sunday, Oct. 17.

The meeting will be held in Kellogg's Memorial Hall with registration starting at 9 a.m.

Guests will include the National Vice Commander, the Department Legion Commander and Auxiliary President, District One Legion Commander and Auxiliary President and the Department Adjutant. Anton Ferraro, who was elected Attorney General at Gem Boys State last June, will speak on the Boys State program.
