Semi-truck crash injures driver

A 59-year-old truck driver was hurt after his semi-truck failed to negotiate the curve at Highway 41 and the Spirit Lake cutoff road, the Idaho State Police reported.
Don A. Davis, of Chewelah, Wash., was airlifted to Kootenai Medical Center after his Kenworth truck rolled onto the east shoulder of Highway 41, went through the guardrail and lost its load of lumber at 2 p.m. Monday.
Further details of his condition were unavailable at press time.
The roadway was partially blocked for about five hours, police reported, and the accident remains under investigation.
