The Idaho Department of Labor said there is a job fair Wednesday at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, in Post Falls.

The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Employers there will be available for questions and interviews.

Some of the employers will include U.S. Bank, Kootenai County, Transtector, The Four Seasons, Premier Technology, Idaho Forest Group, Shopko, West Corp., Humanix, Sykes, Best Buy, Target, Ground Force Manufacturing, Sunshine Minting, Benewah Medical Center, Kelly Services, ResCare Home Care and Advanced Care Hospital.Job openings include, customer service, assembly, manufacturing, retail, health care, hospitality, metal workers, drafting and engineering.

U.S. Bank has named Rick Murray as its region president for the North Idaho Palouse Region. Murray succeeds Rick Barton, who retired earlier this year.Murray has worked for U.S. Bank and its predecessor companies for 36 years, and has been a lifelong resident of North Idaho.

Most recently, he served as vice president and team leader for U.S. Bank's North Idaho Palouse business banking group, and over the course of his career, he has served in a number of functions within the bank, in both commercial lending and consumer banking."We're excited that Rick has stepped into this position to lead our banking operations in North Idaho," said Jim Grigsby, division manager for U.S. Bank's community banking group in Idaho and Washington. "His deep roots in the community, along with his extensive expertise in so many facets of the financial services industry, will make him a great fit."

As region president, Murray will be responsible for overseeing commercial banking and retail branches in communities located throughout north and northcentral Idaho, ranging from Sandpoint to Grangeville.The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce's 98th annual luncheon is Wednesday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

The presenting speaker is Chief Allen, tribal chairman for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. The subject is Coeur d'Alene Tribal enterprises and their economic impact.The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The chamber will pass the gavel to the incoming chairman of the board, the chamber volunteer of the year and citizen of the year awards will be awarded, and the fall into cash $5,000 Costco gift card winning raffle ticket will be drawn.Tickets are $30, and a table of eight is $240.

The competition, held in conjunction with the Washington Auctioneers Convention, is a tri-state contest with auctioneers participating from Idaho, Washington and Oregon.Rose is the first woman to win the title. She is an Idaho state champion auctioneer and currently is serving on the board of directors for both the Idaho and Washington state auctioneer associations.

North Idaho College has hired Phil Roche as its new library director. Roche holds a master's degree in library science and is currently assistant professor and access services librarian at Southern Utah University.Jay Lee, NIC president for instruction, said, "I think we got really lucky to get Phil. He shows a ton of energy and seems genuinely excited about joining the NIC team. I'm confident he will be a good addition to the library and the college."

The duties of library director were previously performed by a team of library faculty and staff. Roche is expected to start in January.He has held positions as the dean of instructional and information support services at North Seattle Community College and the director of library and media services at Lake Tahoe Community College. He received a master's degree in library science from San Jose State University and a bachelor's degree in English from Humbolt State University.
