| October 11, 2010 1:09 PM

Marilyn passed away peacefully in her sleep on. Oct. 6, 2010. Marilyn was born in Coeur d'Alene on Jan. 2, 1931, to Hazel (Roland) and Jim Morbeck.

She was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene and after graduating from Coeur d'Alene High School went to college at the University of Idaho. Before graduating she moved to Seattle and married and had her son, David, and spent 40 wonderful years in Seattle and later married Robert E. Bancroft. She was the light of his life and they enjoyed traveling, flying and fishing together for anything that swam in the water.

She mostly enjoyed her family and friends, and the birthdays and holidays with the family.

After moving back to the Coeur d'Alene area 20 years ago she was actively involved in the 4-C's and other bridge clubs that she loved. She volunteered at Kootenai Medical Center and supported the GYRO'S and Eagles enthusiastically.

She is survived by her sister, Hazel Fryar of Yakima, while her brother, Russel, is deceased. She was a loving mother to four children, David Cort of Seattle, Sharon Bancroft of Portland, Ore., Lois Bancroft of White Salmon and Kenneth Bancroft (deceased). She is also survived by six loving grandchildren and six loving great-grandchildren.

Upon her request there will not be a funeral. All memorials should be sent to Hospice of North Idaho.
