Meet and greet with Currie is today

Neighbors For Responsible Growth will be holding a meet-and-greet event with Kootenai County Commissioner Rick Currie tonight at 6 at the Arrow Point Fire Station on Highway 97.

Currie, running to keep his district 2 seat as a write-in candidate, will be answering questions from the public.

Bev Twillmann with Neighbors For Responsible Growth said she has also invited the other district 2 candidate, Jai Nelson, to conduct a meet-and-greet.

Nelson said on Friday she is open to arranging an event, but hasn't heard there is much interest in her conducting one.

ASNIC hosting candidate forum

Associated Students of North Idaho College is hosting a board of trustees candidate forum at noon on Tuesday in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d'Alene Room.

The one-hour forum will consist of timed answers to questions gathered from student input followed by some questions from the audience. All four candidates have confirmed that they will attend. Robert Ketchum is running against incumbent Christie Wood for Seat B. Ken Howard is running against Ron Nilson for Seat A, which is currently held by Rolly Williams who is retiring.

Trustees serve four-year terms on the five-member board.
