CURRIE: Thanks but no thanks

| October 10, 2010 10:00 PM

Mr. Currie, thank you for finally letting the voters of Kootenai County know who you really are. We now realize that you are just another defeated politician that has gotten so used to being an elected official that you can't hide your sense of entitlement to "your" seat - in this case on the Board of Commissioners of "our" county.

Message to Mr. Currie: It's not your seat - it's the people's seat.

How dare you now, after losing in a fair and square primary election, decide that the people of Kootenai County need you so much that you are running a write-in campaign.

Message to Mr. Currie: It's not so much that the people need you; rather it becomes very obvious that you need the position you've grown accustomed to.

While I did not vote for Mr. Piazza in the primary election, I appreciate the fact that he did not throw a temper tantrum and mount a write-in campaign after losing the primary. Mr. Piazza is a class act - you are not.

Message to Mr. Currie: You're finished, not only as far as the Kootenai County Commission, but as far as politics in this area. Thank you for letting us know who you really are.

I hope that voters, regardless of your choice during the upcoming election, refuse to encourage defeated politicians like Mr. Currie. Please do not vote for him in the general election, no matter how shrill his attacks on his opponent become or how much money he throws at trying to get "his" seat back.

Message to Mr. Currie: Please sit down and go back to whatever you were doing before you favored us with your presence on the Board of Commissioners of our county.

BILL BROOKS
