Wold to play benefit concert

COEUR d'ALENE - An 11-year-old piano prodigy is giving a performance Friday to benefit the Kootenai Humane Society.

Val Wold, who has played in more than 100 concerts around the country, will perform at 7 p.m. at the Kroc Center.

Tickets are available at KHS, and its thrift stores in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children.

The shelter at the north end of Ramsey Road has many dogs and cats available for adoption.
