Peggy Ann Hodge, 57

Peggy Ann Hodge passed away at Kootenai Medical Center from complications of multiple sclerosis surrounded by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Levacy and her father-in-law, Everett "Mac" McShane.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy McShane of Medford, Ore.; husband Reese J. Hodge III of Coeur d'Alene; daughter Melissa Hodge-Case and son-in-law Don Case of Wallace; son Reese J. Hodge IV and daughter-in-law Lanay Hodge of Coeur d'Alene; brother Bill and sister-in-law Peggy Levacy of Southern California; brother Ron and sister-in-law Martha Levacy of Coronado, Calif.; grandson Finneas Case of Wallace; granddaughter Shadoe Campbell and grandson Xander Hodge of Coeur d'Alene.

Peggy was born in Bremerton, Wash., growing up she lived in numerous places throughout the world including Guam and Hawaii due to her father's naval career, she was raised and went to school in Long Beach, Calif. She married her soulmate Reese J. Hodge III in Eureka, Calif., in 1974. Peggy enjoyed 20-plus years in her career as a beautician. She also enjoyed tending her flower garden, crocheting, mystery/crime novels and related TV shows.

Peggy was a strong-willed free spirit and was incredibly courageous in her fight against multiple sclerosis. Never a complainer and always willing to give. She was the best mother, friend, lover that anyone could ever wish for. She is not forgotten and will live on in the memories of her loved ones.

Memorial services for Peggy will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel.
