KENNEDY: Great man, bad request

| November 21, 2010 9:00 PM

I have the privilege of knowing both Jim Brannon and Mike Kennedy. I have great respect for both of these men and have learned much from them. Habitat for Humanity really hurt their credibility in the community when they let Jim go. Mike, you have a big heart and a desire to serve, thank you. Something has really been a concern to me throughout the last year however. Mike, you have become very courageous lately. You have asked the city of Coeur d'Alene to pay your legal bills ... REALLY? Many people are shocked by this egotistical act of arrogance. Please tell us this was a misprint Mike. If the city is even considering doing this then maybe we do need a new election, right away! Maybe they should invest in the election system so this does not have to happen again. Good grief people ... REALLY? The only people benefiting here, in my opinion, are the lawyers. Perhaps they could do something on their end to make this easier on both parties. My recommendation to the city: Stay out of this one financially. Again, I have incredible respect for both of these men.
