The Skinny on Weight Loss The holidays are coming

Approximately one year ago I started measuring my patients abdominal girth as a way of getting them to be aware of their risk for the conditions of the metabolic syndrome associated with central obesity. I was also aware that many of my patients had already been put on the drugs that treat these conditions (i.e. type II diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol), and how dangerous some were. One of my patients asked me what my abdominal girth measurement was, to which I replied "I don't know, I've never measured myself". The reason why not was that my waist size was 34 inches and men weren't considered at risk unless their abdominal girth was over 40 inches. (Soon I was to learn that wasn't entirely accurate. Many men are at risk at 37-39 inches). Once my patient left I measured my abdominal girth (at the belly button) and was somewhat shocked to learn that the measurement was 39.5 inches. I was at risk and the holidays were coming.

At about this same time I was investigating several weight loss programs, a couple were exclusively medically administered. As I was evaluating the benefits and costs of each I became aware of the Ideal Protein weight loss protocol. This was the only one that sent to the physician a clinical manual making sure the physician was clear on the physiology of fat gain and the problems associated with weight loss. It also explained why with most diets, 95 percent of dieters will gain all the lost weight back. They also boldly claimed to be "Your last diet." It made sense to me and I decided that this was the weight loss protocol I would do and could enthusiastically endorse and recommend to my patients. My wife and I started this protocol on Dec. 27 and by Feb. 8 I had lost 27 pounds. I couldn't believe how terrific I looked and felt, and that I could now wear my size 32 inch waist dress pants that I had been hanging onto for the last 8 years. My wife lost about 13 pounds and was rated "athletic" in terms of her body composition by our Stayhealthy body composition scanner, the BC-1! In addition my oldest son lost 27 pounds and my stepdaughter also successfully lost weight on this protocol as have many of my patients. Many have had their lab tests come back normal allowing them to come off their medications.

For many of you, your story is similar, your weight has slowly crept up on you but you have accepted it as "normal aging". For others, you are out of control and efforts at losing weight have been unsuccessful. The holidays are coming and there will be family gatherings and eating - large delicious meals and leftovers - as there should be. But then will come the feelings of guilt and depression knowing you have only contributed to the weight problem that has developed.

I want to encourage you to find out about this incredible weight loss protocol as I did and learn why it is "Your last diet." There is no time like the present to start bringing that weight down before the holidays. If you choose to celebrate and enjoy the holiday food you can do that without the guilt and depression knowing that you are on a short journey to getting your health back and looking and feeling younger. What a wonderful gift to yourself.

This couldn't be easier, all it takes is for you to say, "This is it. I'm in. I'm taking control of my weight and my health." The holidays are coming, make the right choice. Ideal Protein weight loss protocol - "Your last diet."
