NIC students help teen drop-in center

| November 6, 2010 9:00 PM

Project Safe Place will benefit from a community service project organized by students in North Idaho College's Resort and Recreational Management Program.

Boxes will be placed at area businesses to college hygiene items - toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo - for area teens who take advantage of Project Safe Place's teen drop-in center, and emergency shelter services.

The NIC students will also be selling T-shirts at multiple area events through early December, with the proceeds also going to Project Safe Place, a youth program of Volunteers of America of Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho.
