VOTE: Dems blew best chance

| November 1, 2010 6:50 AM

President Obama is working frantically to get his message out to the nation to administer some anti-amnesia medication. Too late, the Dems had their chance and blew it.

President Obama campaigned on "Change," not "Spare Change." His huge mistake was the tragic fault of our political system: Back room deals and the corrupting influence of campaign donations and special interest money, which has completely engulfed the Republican Party, most of the Democrats, and now has the Tea Party trying to remember who's their Daddy?

While Obama had the overwhelming support of America when he was elected, he figured that bailing out the criminals who put us into this mess was a good Idea for America. This went against everything he stood for in his campaign, and was nothing but ransom money sent to hijackers with a gun to our heads that were enabled, endorsed and still protected by the GOP.

Ditto with Health Care Reform. Instead of fighting for the public option and single payer, he left the defining issue of his presidency in the hands of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and took off for Copenhagen. All by design. I knew back then, as did the Democratic base, what had happened. The GOP then ate Reid and Pelosi for breakfast. We were left with crumbs in the form of pathetic compromises.

The mold is set. You cannot change the yellow streak running down the back of the Democratic Party. We gave them a fair chance, and like the Republican Party before them, they failed us.

Meanwhile, the candidates like Jana Kemp who have accepted no campaign bribes which already demonstrates true change, unfortunately have no chance come voting time. If we simply voted for these candidates, and quit buying goods from China, we would truly take back America. It is truly that simple. We've given both parties decades of chances, over and over. Now, the change needs to come from us.

However, come Nov. 2, mark my words: Business as usual. On with the show!
