Shock come on strong in fourth
SPOKANE - The third-ranked Spokane Shock outscored the top-ranked Jacksonville Sharks 20-7 in the fourth quarter on their way to a 67-57 Arena Football League win in front of 10,460 on Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena.
Kyle Rowley was 20-of-27 passing for 210 yards and eight touchdowns and Raul Vijil had 11 catches for 130 yards and seven touchdowns for the Shock (6-2).
Jacksonville (6-2) drove to the Shock 15, but had the drive halted as Garcia was intercepted by Alex Teems, allowing Spokane to run out the clock.
Former Washington State quarterback Aaron Garcia passed for 275 yards and six touchdowns for Jacksonville.
Spokane, Jacksonville, Milwaukee and Chicago all share the best record in the AFL at the midway point of the season.
Spokane travels to Orlando on June 12.
