Jane Ann Steele, 53

Jane went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 22, 2010, of a heart attack after living many years of pain and suffering from MS. Jane was born to Theodore and Doris Chaloux on Jan. 2, 1957, in Carson, Calif., where she spent most of her life.

In 1990 Jane and family moved to Coeur d’Alene where she soon met Michael Steele and later married on Aug. 10, 1996.

Jane was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Chaloux, mother Doris Chaloux, and brothers Noel and Louie Chaloux.

Jane was a beloved mother to Jamie (Crye) Rousar, Jesse Crye, Andrew Crye, Rebecca Angelina Steele; four grandchildren, Alyssa Scalise, Hannah and Jack Rousar, and Logan Crye; and stepsons Michael and Benjamin Steele.

Jane’s sons Jesse and Andrew are currently serving in the U.S. Army. Jesse is in Germany and Andy is in Iraq.

Jane is survived by her husband, Michael Steele; brothers Ed Chaloux and David Chaloux; sisters Karen Snow, Doris Reidman (Bill) and all her children and grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and ex-husband Wayne Crye.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at New Life Community Church, with a potluck to follow at the church.

Jane will be missed and loved by all her family and friends.
