All lanes on I-90 through Post Falls to open tonight
POST FALLS - Motorists will be able to use both lanes in each direction on Interstate 90 through Post Falls, starting tonight, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The 4.6-mile stretch of freeway has been reduced to one lane in each direction due to bridge rehabilitation work. The eastbound on-ramp at the Appleway interchange near the state line will also be re-opened.
The speed limit on I-90 in this area, which has been reduced to 45 mph, will be raised to 55 mph.
Motorists are urged to use caution through the work zone area as crews work on bridge approaches during daylight hours. Each bridge approach will have a lip or bump until crews are able to smooth the pavement edges.
Nighttime paving work will begin Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Lanes will be reduced during paving operations.
