When Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch tangled in their race for the lead, Kurt Busch sailed through the carnage to steal a victory and $1 million in NASCAR's All-Star race at Charlotte Motorspeedway Saturday night in Concord, N.C.

Hamlin and Kyle Busch, who have combined to win five of the last seven Sprint Cup Series races for JGR, were racing each other for the lead in the final segment of the annual All-Star event when Hamlin tried to block Kyle Busch's attempt at a pass, forcing Busch into the wall.

Twins 8, Brewers 7, 12 inn.: At Minneapolis, Jason Kubel's sacrifice fly in the 12th lifted Minnesota over Milwaukee.

Angels 10, Cardinals 7: Scott Kazmir struck out five and visiting Los Angeles beat St. Louis.

White Sox 4, Marlins 1: Alex Rios hit a two-run homer and host Chicago beat Florida.

Nationals 7, Orioles 6: Adam Dunn's two-run single capped a sixth-inning rally and host Washington beat Baltimore.

National League

Braves 4, Priates 2: Eric Hinske hit a solo home run to lead Atlanta at Pittsburgh.

Jason Day shot a 3-under 67 for a two-shot lead over Blake Adams in the third round at the PGA Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas.

• Top-ranked Jiyai Shin knocked out Michelle Wie in the Sybase Match Play Championship quarterfinals at hilly Hamilton Farm in Gladstone, N.J.

Shin will play Sun Young Yoo - a 2-and-1 winner over fourth-seeded Yani Tseng - in the semifinals this morning.

Hockey

Pavel Datsyuk's late goal gave Russia a 2-1 victory over Germany in Cologne, Germany, and put the defending title winners into the world hockey championship final game today against the Czech Republic.

Correction

Jessica Layton of Kellogg hit a three-run double against Timberlake at the state 3A softball tournament on Friday. Layton was misidentified in Saturday's Press.
