Sponsor, lease options still available for Post Falls chamber building
About $285,000 has been raised for the new Post Falls Chamber of Commerce building and the chamber took out a $215,000 loan. About $45,000 in pledges over the next two years will help pay for the loan.
Several building sponsorships, ranging from $300 patio pavers to $10,000 building pillars, are still available. Three pillars at $10,000, about 200 patio pavers at $300 and three spots on the iron railing outside at $5,000 are still available.
"We designed it so there's opportunities for others to come through in the future and there's a steady stream of money coming in," said Randy Oaks, the chamber's building committee chairman.
Oaks said watching the project come together has been "phenomenal."
"A lot of hard work went into it," Oaks said. "I've been looking at this since 2001 when I first came on board and it developed a year and a half ago when Dan Malloy (past chairman) put this at the top of the priority list.
"From the contractors to our architect to the visionaries we had on the board, it was a wonderful experience.
"From our first inkling of this, this to what we accomplished, it went way beyond what we expected. It will serve the community well for many years to come."
Business tenants leasing space in the upper level of the chamber are the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency, Express Professionals and Convertec.
About 700 square feet remains for lease at 90 cents per square foot.
