Post Falls food drive results tallied
The Post Falls Spring Community Food Drive last weekend brought in an additional 3,488 pounds of food and $1,671.65 in cash contributions for the Post Falls Food Bank.
The amounts were raised at Super 1 Foods and Trading Company Store and come on top of about 28,000 pounds raised in Post Falls schools earlier in the week and year.
"It was a wonderful community event," said Sherry Wallis, food bank executive director. "The attendance was probably down because the great weather was a mixed blessing, but the overall pounds is similar to last year thanks to the efforts of the schools."
Wallis said many families earlier contributed through the school drive.

She hopes to have speakers from both sides of the issue and encourages interested parties to contact her by e-mail, bojane@verizon.net.
